Top 5 Emerging Players Of Calcutta Premier Division Football League 2018/19
This season’s CFL although aesthetically did not reach prominent heights, but brought back the crowd to the Kolkata Maidan. Besides the passion being revitalised to a good extent, the Calcutta Premier Division Football League also showcased some exciting young talents. We picked five such young players who might be destined for much better things in the coming years.
● Sandip Pal :
The former United SC custodian signed up for Peerless as a third choice goal keeper. But little did anyone know that this boy from Baidyabati will suprise everyone and will cement his position as a regular keeper. Sandip was a pivotal figure behind Peerless’s great run of form in the CFL this season.
● Sudipta Malakar :
This 18 year old boy from Tribeni has been the find of the tournament. Sudipta is currently on loan from Delhi Dynamos to Pathachakra. But he is the main man in the frontline for producing Pathachakra’s goals. Not everyday one will find an eighteen year old dribbling past experienced local players easily. He is surely a player to keep an eye upon.

● Pintu Mahata :
Pintu Mahata has been the major name for Mohun Bagan this season. From scoring goals against arch rivals to providing assists, this boy from a remote village of Purulia has covered all areas with excellence. He is another addition to Bagan’s prominent Bengalee brigade. He is another player who can become a first team regular if he keeps his focus intact. It’s not very often you see a boy from a remote village scoring against both arch rivals of his team.
● Nuruddin :
Former Indian U19 player Nuruddin has played a huge part behind Peerless’s success. He was the perfect no.7 for Peerless. His current side Pune City FC will get a huge favour from him given his current form only if he is given proper exposure.
● Hira Mondal :
Hira Mondal has proved all his critics wrong. He has already scored a goal against his former club Tollygunge. Due to his impressive performance the Former East Bengal Academy product will make a return to their senior team.
